Current DSPS Scholarships

John D. Andersen Memorial Scholarship
The John D. Andersen Memorial Scholarship, offering seven $300 awards, is available to students registered with CCSF's Disability Services and Programs (DSPS) who have a verified disability. Applicants must have a current FAFSA or CA Dream Act application on file, be enrolled in at least 6 units (for credit students) with a minimum 2.0 GPA, or complete 10 hours of noncredit instruction per week with satisfactory course completion (for noncredit students). First-time credit students must submit high school or previous college transcripts. Applications can be submitted online via Scholarship Universe or via paper at DSPS offices, with a deadline of October 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM. Dorothy B. Jasko Memorial Scholarship
The Dorothy B. Jasko Memorial Scholarship is a $3,000 and $2,000 award for CCSF students with disabilities who demonstrate social and academic excellence. To be eligible, students must be registered with CCSF's Disability Services and Programs for Students (DSPS), have a verified permanent disability, and be enrolled in at least 6 units for Fall 2025. Applicants must have completed 6 units in both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and submit 4 essays, 2 letters of recommendation, and a Comprehensive Education Plan. The application opens on July 28, 2025, and the deadline is October 20, 2025. For DSPS registration, students can visit the DSPS website or contact the Ocean Campus or John Adams Center.

Job Accommodation Network is a legal website that offers information, tips, and resources about accommodations in the workplace. There are ideas for what might be helpful in different environments, based on your needs, as well as tips for how to address your needs with your employer. There are also resources for employers on how to provide accommodations, and legal experts ready to assist with specific questions about how accommodations work.

Community Resources


MOD is responsible for overseeing the implementation and local enforcement of the City and County of San Francisco's obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as other federal, state, and local access codes and disability rights laws.


Independent Living Resource Center San Francisco (ILRCSF) is a disability rights advocacy and support organization. "Our mission is to ensure that people with disabilities are full social and economic partners, within their families and within a fully accessible community."

National Resources


Created for Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and their families and caregivers, the new National Resource Directory has proved to be a useful tool for service providers who support the military and Veterans communities. The National Resource Directory provides access to over 10,000 services and resources at the national, state, and local levels to support recovery, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.


The National Center for College Students with Disabilities (NCCSD) is a federally-funded project under the U.S. Department of Education that provides technical information about disability and higher education, conducts research, and reports to the U.S. Department of Education.
