Race, Ethnicity, and Society
Introduction to sociological and ethnic studies theories, research methodologies, and data sources to explore race and ethnicity in the U.S. through the lived experiences of African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and Latino/a Americans. Students will draw upon major sociological and ethnic studies concepts to reflect upon and analyze racial and ethnic power relations at all societal levels, including within their own lives.
